Walmart is intensifying its efforts to automate its distribution centers by incorporating robotics into its systems.

The American retail behemoth has recently bolstered its relationship with Fox Robotics by purchasing 19 automated forklifts, known as “FoxBots,” for its distribution centers. These forklifts, equipped with cutting-edge technologies like machine vision and AI, are designed for dynamic pallet management and have undergone testing at Walmart’s high-tech facility in Brooksville, Florida.

As a leader in adopting innovative technologies, this center has trained its staff to manage these new machines. Walmart emphasizes that its move towards automation aims to augment, rather than replace, human labor, highlighting the advantages for both operational efficiency and employee well-being.
