Walmart unveils Digital Landscapes to enhance supplier insights.

Walmart Data Ventures has launched Digital Landscapes, a self-service module aimed at uncovering the digital behaviors of Walmart shoppers online, particularly those actions preceding their purchase decisions. This innovative tool allows suppliers to gain valuable insights into various aspects of the shopper’s journey, including where they start searching for products, when they discover a supplier’s offerings, how these products compare within their categories, and the overall path to purchase.

Mark Hardy, Head of Walmart Data Ventures, emphasized the changing expectations of omnichannel customers and the need for suppliers to understand behaviors before purchases are made. He noted that with Digital Landscapes, suppliers can now explore new strategies to engage and drive consideration along the customer journey, ultimately enhancing the shopping experience for consumers.

Digital Landscapes is part of the Walmart Luminate suite of digital insights tools, announced by Hardy in January 2024, designed to help suppliers adapt to evolving consumer expectations and improve overall shopping experiences.
